I Adore Coffee (And Maybe a Little Sleep)

Life is totally hectic these days. Between work, family, and trying to squeeze in some me time/self-care/relaxation, it can be difficult to keep up. But there's one thing that always gets me through: coffee. I seriously love the smell of a good cup of joe, and it gives me the motivation I need to tackle the day.

Of course, I also know that sleep is important. But sometimes, when you're hustling through a busy schedule, it can be hard to get enough shut-eye. So, on those days when I'm feeling particularly overwhelmed, I might just indulge in a little extra coffee (and maybe even skip a nap/power nap/quick snooze).

No judgement here – we all have our vices. And for me, it's a warm mug of coffee and the promise of a productive day/getting things done/accomplishing my goals.

My Other Therapist is a French Press

When life gets chaotic, and the usual anxiety relief methods aren't cutting it, I turn to my unique source of peace: a trusty French Press. This ritualistic process of crushing beans, mixing hot water, and patiently steeping for the perfect cup becomes my meditation. Each sip carries with it a feeling of tranquility, grounding me in the current experience.

  • Occasionally, I even engage in introspection as I study the cycle of the extraction process.
  • Occasionally, it's simply a enjoyable break from the constant chaos.

So, while I may sometimes seek out a therapist, my coffee maker remains a steadfast source of support through life's ups and downs.
